Learning about how vinyl car wraps are printed can help you understand the amount of time and effort that goes into designing, printing, and installing a high-quality, custom vehicle wrap. At Wrap Guys, they work hard to ensure that our clients receive only the best car wrap possible. That is why all of their wraps are custom designed to suit the needs of each client.

Vinyl Car Wrap Design

The first step in making a custom car wrap is coming up with the best design for your particular wants and needs. The talented team of in-house graphic artists from Wrap Guys will start the design process by meeting with you to ensure that we have a clear understanding of what you are looking for, including the imagery, messaging, and colour palette you would like to incorporate into the final design.

After meeting with you, their team will take any assets you have provided (images, branding, etc.), as well as the ideas discussed in the meeting and transform them into a mock-up design of the final vehicle wrap. You will then have the opportunity to review the car wrap design and provide us with any changes that you would like made.

Car Wrap Design Approval

Their design review and proofing process works to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your car wrap design. By providing you with the chance to approve the final design, they hope to eliminate anything unexpected during the making of your custom car wrap. None of their custom car wraps are produced or installed without receiving full approval from their clients.

Printing a Vehicle Wrap

Once they have received complete design approval from you, their team will coordinate an installation date that works with your schedule. Their team will then get to work on printing your vehicle wrap using the highest quality 3M vinyl or Avery cast vinyl and latex ink materials.

By printing custom car wraps on the highest quality materials, they can ensure that they are able to stand the test of time—lasting more than nine years—and can easily withstand minor dings and scratches, as well as harsh weather conditions.

Laminating a Car Wrap

All vehicle wraps printed by Wrap Guys are also laminated by running their custom vinyl wraps through a cold press laminator. By laminating each of their wraps, we can help ensure that the printed graphics are receiving the best possible protection against scratches, abrasions, and UV damage from the sun. Laminating each vinyl wrap also helps extend the quality and longevity of the graphics.

Custom Vinyl Car Wrap Installation

Before installing your new car wrap, their team will take the time to wash your vehicle to remove any dirt that can prevent the wrap from being as smooth and seamless as possible. Once the vehicle is clean and dry, their team will begin to adhere the vinyl wrap to your car, using a blowtorch to heat and stretch the vinyl and a special squeegee to remove any bubbles that appear.
